• Healthy Children, Educated Children, Strong and Secure Families

We strive to achieve these goals by educating our members on cutting edge early childhood issues, leveraging and aligning private dollars to advance systems change, and using our collective voice tospeak up on behalf of the County’s youngest residents.

THE OUTCOMES

As the Partnership continues to serve and convene the philanthropic community, public and private sectors around early childhood issues and priorities for LA County, we expect to improve the overall conditions for children 0-5 in LA County evidenced by:
  • Near-Term (0-5 years)

Growth in the number of funders and overall private and public dollars supporting early childhood issues.

Adoption and implementation of best practices and policies that promote more effective, better coordinated systems of education, health and development for young children and their families.

  • LONG-Term (5-15 years)

Funding in 0-5 is increased to optimum levels to ensure the sustained adoption of best practices for the successful development of children, 0-5.

Increased access to appropriate educational, health and developmental services for children 0-5 in LA County.

  • LASTING IMPACT (15+ years)

Children are healthy and ready to learn by kindergarten.

Children are reading at grade level by 3rd grade, increased high school graduation rates, and pursuit of post-secondary education.

Higher likelihood of sustainable jobs and careers.

Enhanced social connections among adults as contributors to their community.

OUR EVALUATION FRAMEWORK

We focus on our ability to effectively engage in the three primary things we do, evaluating these activities using monitoring, process, and impact measures. Working with the experts at ICF International, we have developed an evaluation framework to help us more specifically assess the ways in which we are making progress towards achieving our mission.
